Recently Ori and the Blind Forest launched on the Nintendo Switch platform as one of the most critically acclaimed platforms Metroidvania games unveiled in a long time. Also, the sequel, Ori, and the Will of the Wisps will hit Xbox One and PC on the 11th of March, 2020.
However, it even gets better; Moon Studio now has 80 developers working on their next project. This was revealed on the job offer posted on Gamasutra. Also, other details of the project were unveiled too.
As it stated on the job post, ‘Moon Studios—award-winning creators of the Ori series are scouting for Senior Game Designers. Moon Studios, The Creators Of Ori Series, Is Currently Working On A New Action RPG Which Could Transform The Genre. Concerning the requirements and based on the redefining of the Metroidvania genre with the Ori series, our current vision is to change the ARPG genre!’
Here are the requirements they want their designers to have:
• A Designer at the core: During gameplay, you would intuitively know how to improve upon weaker aspects of a title. You tend to analyze things that aren’t working, and you think about how it can fit in the bigger picture
• Experienced: this isn’t your first time working in this industry, because you understand the ropes. You’re also looking for a firm and no-bullshit studio where you can always voice your opinion and work with the best talent this industry has to offer!
• Passionate: you are also an avid gamer who has studied RPGs all through your gaming existence, and you still feel there’s more to it. You can’t get enough of titles like Zelda, Diablo, Dark Souls, and other games in this genre. On that note, you would love to participate in creating a new RPG that dares to go beyond the style that players are used to already.
• Can take-on new challenges: we are always on the move to raise standards here at Moon Studios. We’re not just looking for specialists in a specific field or genre; we want to see one who’s open to help where needed and a vast multi-talented creative as you are.
